24 Salesforce certifications are retiring in 2027
Salesforce has announced a retirement cycle affecting 24 current offerings: 15 Accredited Professional credentials and nine Salesforce certifications.
The dates matter:
- July 24, 2026: Last day to register.
- August 31, 2026: Last day to take an affected exam.
- February 1, 2027: Official retirement date.
Salesforce says a candidate who passes by the final exam date earns the credential, which will later remain on the Trailblazer Profile marked as retired. Review the Salesforce 2027 Certification Retirements FAQ before making a scheduling decision.
Should you still take a retiring exam?
Consider it when all four statements are true:
- The credential directly matches work you perform.
- You already have much of the required experience.
- You can register before the deadline and test by August 31.
- You value formal recognition of that product or industry knowledge even after the credential is marked retired.
Choose another path when you are starting from zero, cannot practice the product, or would rush through a large exam outline simply to beat a deadline. Comparable Trailhead learning may remain useful even when an exam leaves the catalog.

Before registering
Confirm that the exam is still purchasable, check your time zone, and leave room for technical or scheduling problems. Do not plan a first attempt on the last available day. If you are already registered and decide not to proceed, consult Salesforce’s current cancellation guidance rather than assuming a voucher or payment will transfer automatically.
